Institute of Science & Technology Management is a self-financed college, sponsored by Gopsai Avinandan Sangha ( A Society registered under West Bengal Societies Act XVII, 1961) has been started in the year 2005 as Institute of Science & Technology with a with the aspiration of spreading technical education amongst the socially and economically underpriviledged yet brilliant youths of remote village of specially Paschim Medinipur, Jangal Mahal and also every corner of West Bengal.

It was the global increasing demand of the era that encouraged the management of the IST to introduce MANAGEMENT as a stream in IST in the year 2008. Since then it was affiliated to & approved by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (formerly known as WBUT) and was a part of IST as Non-AICTE courses till the guidelines published by AICTE on 20 th 2024.
Through a public notice it was stated “All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) as per the Provisions of All India Council for Technical Education Act, 1987 (For short, “AICTE Act”) as mentioned in its Chapter 2-g Shall Regulate Under Graduate courses in management (BBA/BMS) and computer application (BCA) along with Post Graduate Courses in Management (MBA/MMS) and Computer Applications (MCA) from the A/Y 2024-25. Accordingly, all the Existing Institutes Offering or Intends to Offer UG Courses in Management (BBA/BMS) and Computer applications (BCA) are required to take AICTE Approval from this A/Y 2024-25.”

Complied with the above guide lines and approval of AICTE, Institute of Science & Technology Management has emerged as new entity that offers Management and computer application courses named and titled as MCA, BCA, BBA, BHM & MHA. The college is recognized by Department of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal and Approved by the AICTE, New Delhi and Affiliated to MAKAUT, WB.
